Project Erasmus+ KA205 Borderless Dialogue: Social Integration Through Non-formal Education

The "Dialogue without Borders" project is based on one of INPRO's local initiatives called Open Cafe, which took place in Rzeszow in 2016 and was funded by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe. It was initially created in response to the growing number of immigrants moving to Rzeszow, Poland to study or work. Open Cafe is an informal and comfortable space open to everyone. It is a space where people meet, break stereotypes of each other and discuss different issues. They also learn to listen actively, be respectful, and express their opinions clearly.

The objective of this project is to create new cultural spaces in 3 cities in Portugal, Spain and Hungary so that people are on an equal footing and where the rules of interaction are more flexible. This creates a mutual understanding between the participants that can then permeate into larger interactions at the community level. In this way, the project would help achieve greater social cohesion and an easier way of living together in diversity. Consequently, this project does not simply mean engaging newcomers, refugees and migrants, but also fostering interaction and dialogue with European society in general. And as the law is gaining traction in many European societies, it is important for all of us to build open and accessible cultural spaces, where migrants, refugees and the local European community are in dialogue with each other.
